Photos from our trips

If it seems that we take lots of breaks that involve wildlife that is due to two reasons… First, everyone in our family enjoys it (except Jason who would rather stay home) and secondly, there isn’t much else in Zambia.

We went to Kafue National Park which is the 2nd largest park in Africa.  We had been there before but we went to a different area with the hopes of seeing cheetah and wild dog.  No luck on those two but we saw a very large variety of animals and had a good time.  We stayed in tents and cooked over the fire and drove ourselves around to help save money. Jared and Justin are excellent spotters.

The following weekend, I went camping with the four young people who have just joined MCC here in Zambia as part of the SALT program.  We went to Lochinvar National Park, which has no camping facilities so we had to bring our own water and everything else.  It was HOT but fun and it is so much easier camping with adults.  Everyone pitched in and all of the work was easy.
