Another Christmas in Zambia

Last year we were home for Christmas, which was wonderful as Christmases here in Zambia tend to be a bit depressing.  However, this year, we had the Ulbricht family staying with us and other MCCers around for an early Christmas meal.

Our Christmas Tree

Our nice Zambian-made nativity

Our setup for our ‘first’ Christmas dinner (with all of the MCCers – We got to have a second big dinner on Christmas!)

Kathy Fast gave us all these decorations (Although this is something Kathy would make, she didn’t have time this year and bought them)

Cynthia made two apple pies!

A little soccer to work up an appetite.

We also had a nice Christmas eve service by candlelight.  (The power was on at this time but went off early Christmas morning for a couple of hours)

And games on Christmas day.  (There is a South African version of monopoly which had several places on it that we had just visited)

This will certainly be a Christmas your family will long remember! We are just so absolutely priviledged to experience life in another culture.
